Don't use that green stuff. A POD filter is a
UNI foam universal air filter. You can get one
at any motorcyle shop. Get one that is for 2 1/4-
meaning the inner diameter of the filter. It
right onto the bore of the carberateur. Mine is
about 3 inches long, but I'm going to change it
to another one I have that is 4 inches long.
With the 4 inch one, you have to remove the air
box which I've done. You also need to buy and fit
a crankcase filter to the breather tube which I
also did. It cost $15.00 and looks way cool.
Go to any Harley Davidson repair shop and I guar-
antee they will have a huge stock of Harley pipes.
Offer them $10 for one. Don't pay $62 dollars or
whatever. You'll need to use metal shim to get
it to fit right, and if you're lucky like me, it
will have a bracket welded to it that will fit
the stock bracket with a bolt. You might also
need a muffler repair kit or high temp silicon
to stop the leak between the muffler and the head
pipe. Good luck!!
